Executive

Shaune Eldred ~ President & Co-owner

From small startups to large multinationals, Shaune has worked with many businesses in a broad range of industries for more than 25 years. Along the way, she has honed her skills in accounting and finance, internal audit, human resources, administration, and contract development and administration, both at the working level and as a senior executive leading corporate service teams.

Before founding Athene, Shaune was Vice President, Corporate Services, for Minerva Technology until the company's sale in 1998. Following Minerva's sale, she worked with the newly formed company, xwave Solutions, developing standardized human resource and client contracts.

A Certified Simply Accounting Consultant, Shaune attended Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary, majoring in Finance and Economics as well as Education. During her career, she has taken numerous university-level courses in finance, law, management and psychology.

Revett Eldred ~ Secretary, Technology Advisor & Co-owner

A graduate of Harvard Business School's Owner-President Management Program, Revett is highly adept at bridging the worlds of business and technology – a seemingly innate skill that has earned him many distinctions including 'Calgary Business Person of the Year' honours and a profiling as one of 10 successful immigrants in the Canadian pavilion at the Seville World Fair.

In 1985, Revett founded Minerva Technology Inc. Twice ranked among Canada's 50 fastest-growing businesses, which in 1991 received the Canada Award for Business Excellence – the country's highest award for quality. Microsoft rated Minerva as one of its three best partners worldwide, and the company twice won awards for best computer applications developed using Microsoft products.

Prior to Minerva, Revett had a 20-year career as a programmer, system designer, project manager and line manager. He worked as co-developer of the control software for the world's first automated goldmine, developed numerous business applications, and managed a project that automated and cross-indexed the records of many Canadian museums and libraries. He was a member of the Canadian Computer-Communications Task Force whose report, 'Branching Out', set the stage for Canadian telecommunications policy for the 1980s and led to the implementation of DataPac – the world's first commercial packet switched digital data network.

As a resource for The Executive Committee, Revett has taught more than 1,000 executives how to plan for effective computing and information management in a small and mid-sized business environment. He was for many years a member of SAIT's Computer Industry Advisory Committee, was the first 'Entrepreneur In Residence' at Calgary Technologies Inc., and continues to be a regular guest lecturer in the University of Calgary's Haskayne Business School MBA Program.

Kristin Weisenburger ~ Vice-President, Operations

Previously Centre Manager at Quarry Park, Kristin has overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of the company.

She joined Athene in 2004 as an intern working toward her CGA designation, which is backed by numerous information technology, finance, and management courses at University of Calgary, SAIT, Mount Royal College and Athabasca University.

Her many years as a competitive figure skater nurtured Kristin's drive to achieve excellence in everything she does. In 2007, she assumed the role of Executive Centre Manager at Athene's One Executive Place location. Soon after that, she took on the challenge of opening up our second centre in Garrison Green. And then, with the same passion and enthusiasm, she took the helm at Quarry Park.  With detailed knowledge of all three Athene Centres, Kristin is well positioned to ensure the smooth operation of Athene’s executive centre facilities.

Quarry Park Centre

Brenda McInnis

Brenda is Centre Manager in Athene's Quarry Park facility.  With a diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal University and more than 15 years experience in roles that include office manager, managing commercial buildings, and helping to roll out new software, Brenda is well positioned to ensure the ongoing satisfaction of our Quarry Park clients.

Brenda is assisted at Quarry Park by Kelsey Caruso, Manager of First Impressions. An Honour Roll student at school for her performance in sports medicine, English, and gym, Kelsey is outgoing and enthusiastic and welcomes challenging tasks and projects. Athene is her second executive centre employer, so she brings experience beyond her years to this important role. A volunteer for the Canadian Diabetes Association, Kelsey ultimately looks forward to a long-term career as a nurse.

Garrison Green Centre

Courtney McElroy

Courtney originally started with Athene in 2006 as Manager of First Impressions at One Executive Place, then transferred in the same role to the larger Garrison Green Centre in 2009. In 2010 she was made Centre Manager of the facility.

She has been an integral part of Athene’s growth over the years. Always upbeat and cheerful, Courtney takes pride in ensuring that her clients have the best office facility and services at all times. She treats each client as an important individual and likes to understand their business and become a part of it. Courtney was a competitive figure skater for several years. This gave her the strong focus and work ethic that she now brings to bear on her work for her Athene clients.

Courtney is assisted in her work at Garrison Green by Candace Gemmell, Manager of First Impressions.  An active snowboarder and 12-year competitive dancer, Candace grew up enjoying figure skating, gym, soccer, and track and field. Friendly, outgoing, and a keen listener, she loves helping her Athene clients, whether greeting their guests or helping with administration. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Candace prides herself on being able to multi-task and stay calm when things get hectic and stressful.

One Executive Place Centre

Sherilyn Anhorn

Centre Manager at Athene's One Executive Place, Sherilyn has more than 12 years' experience in finance, marketing and advertising, manufacturing, office management and senior administration.

A 'leader by example' when it comes to resourcefulness, creativity, initiative, decision making and follow-up, Sherilyn builds strong client relationships with mutual respect for professional excellence. She holds a Certificate in Leadership Training from Capernwray and has been trained in management and communications.

Sherilyn is assisted at One Executive Place by Kayla White, Manager of First Impressions. Always ready with a friendly smile, Kayla loves what she does: helping her Athene clients build their businesses by providing cheerful and professional telephone, reception, and administrative services on their behalf. As an integral part of the Athene team, Kayla understands the importance of creating a good first impression and the positive difference this can make to her clients’ success. A “people person”, she prides herself on the fact that her clients can bank on her to represent them the way they would represent themselves.

Kayla’s background in horseback riding, dance, and competitive sports gave her the focus and discipline that she now brings to bear on her critical role within Athene.

Business Services Division

Michelle O'Donnell

Michelle worked as Shaune Eldred's Office Manager and then Manager of Corporate Services for 10 years at Minerva Technology and was Athene's first Centre Manager when the company started in 2004. She left Athene in 2006 when her husband was transferred to Ontario, and rejoined Athene on their return to Calgary in 2011. She has over 20 years of accounting and finance, administration, and management experience in companies ranging from small start-ups to the very prestigious Appleby College in Oakville, ON, to a mega-corporation like EnCana.

For several years, she also ran her own bookkeeping business. She has extensive experience working for a wide variety of clients in different industries - her roles ranged from contract bookkeeper to Controller. She and our team of qualified bookkeepers provide accounting services to a Athene clients using Simply Accounting and QuickBooks.

Michelle was heavily involved in the arts and theatre for many years. She loves the people side of business and prides herself on her ability to build and maintain relationships, both with clients and with staff. As with all Athene staff, she is committed to excellence in all aspects of her work.
